Clueball Updates

Most of the time part of the “thrill of the hunt” is not knowing how many clueballs are out in the wild or in stores at any particular time. However, as a conciliation we do provide an update for certain parks each day at 5PM. These are only the balls hidden by the Camano Island Chamber - it does not include balls hidden by businesses in the same parks!

The # next to the Q by each site will reflect the daily update.

Community Sites

Community Sites are approved locations where participating businesses can hide clueballs during the event. Please read complete details in the booklet.  Maps of some of the sites are below for reference. Clueballs are not hidden in sites other than the ones listed below.
The following are approved sites for the 2023 event:

Stanwood

Church Creek Park

Open to the public during daylight hours.

Heritage Park

Open during daylight hours. All park areas open to Questers.

Kayak Point

Open 7 am to dusk (20 minutes after sunset). Day or Annual pass required for entry (available for no contact purchase at fee machine). Quest within the Day-Use area only.

Lake Goodwin

Open 7 am to dusk (20 minutes after sunset). No day/annual pass required.

Stanwood Area Historical Society

Clue Balls will be hidden within the yard of the D. O. Pearson House Museum or south of the Tolin House next door. Clue balls will not be hidden near the Veterans Memorial but feel free to wander through and reflect. Open hours for museum exhibits are Wed and Saturday afternoons from 1 - 4 pm.

Wenberg Country Park

Open 7 am to dusk (20 minutes after sunset). Day or Annual pass required for entry (available for no contact purchase at fee machine).

Camano Island

Cama Beach State Park

Open during daylight hours. Discover Pass required. Welcome Center open 9-5 daily. Quest only on designated trails (highlighted on map). Clue balls will be within arm’s reach of the trail and will be visible. DO NOT disturb vegetation or tree stumps. NO CLUE BALLS will be hidden in the roads or parking lots, on the beach, in the vicinity of rental cabins, historic buildings, or off trail. DO NOT go beyond signs indicating “Restricted Slide Area.”

Camano Island State Park

Open during daylight hours. Discover Pass required. Quest only on designated trails and beach areas (highlighted on map). Clue balls will be within arm’s reach of the trail and will be visible. DO NOT disturb vegetation or tree stumps.

Elger Bay Preserve
0

Open during daylight hours ONLY on the following dates - 2/17, 2/18, 2/19, 2/20, 2/25, 2/26. Parking is available at the Elger Bay Elementary parking lot on these days only. Do not park there any other days of the Quest as school is in session.

Four Spring Preserve
0

Open dawn to dusk. Clue balls are hidden within reach of the trails. Please do not walk off trail or rake the vegetation. No clue balls will be hidden within the private rental space (signs read “No Public Access”). Call 360-387-1418 to arrange for ball pick up or questions.

Freedom Park
0

Open during daylight hours. All park areas open to Questers.
